A Taste of Thanksgiving

This is how my nephew Azman celebrated Thanksgiving which traditionally falls on the last Thursday of November

Like with all celebrations, it is centred around food

Everyone in US was adviced not to have big gatherings

Azman had a small gathering with only one other family Ernesto, Laura and Lucia

My other nephew Azlan and his fiancée Lauren visited via ZOOM

I think it is an excellent arrangement

Everyone chipped in with the cooking

What did Azman cook?

😊 He did the grocery shopping!

😊 Tomas baked the pumpkin pie

😊 Keilah made sweet potato casserole with marshmallow and pecan topping

😊 Alicia cooked the string beans

😊 Alicia roasted the turkey according to her mum’s recipe

😊 Ernesto carved the turkey

😊 Laura baked the pecan bar

😊 Other friends contributed apple pie and apple turnovers

I hope all the desserts were made with less sugar! I would have liked more vegetables added
