I have completed my book. The title New Finnish Grammar now makes sense

If a book gives you an emotional reaction then it is a really well written

I will not spoil it for you by revealing the final twist. Just read it. It is worth your time 👍

It is nearing dinner time and the one food that I would love right now is something soupy

I grew up in a Cantonese household and soup is served every dinner time

Why do people react differently to the infection?

Possible explanations

• Those with genetic resistance (natural immunity). The virus has no effect on these people. They may carry the virus and not knowingly spread the disease. This group will have no symptoms at all
  

• Those with optimal immune system. This group may have mild symptoms  and recover
  

• Those with weakened immune system and underlying medical conditions that will end up much sicker
  

• The immune system of some younger patients become over active causing it to attack patient’s own organs
  

• Early on, doctors thought children went unscathed. This is not so as some children present different symptoms. Seek medical advice if in doubt.
  

• More men succumb to the virus than women

Although many elderly lose their fight there are the ones aged 99, 102, 104 and 113 who beat the virus 🙂
