In early 1994 I worked with TV director Francis Tan on a video for public health education
During lunch breaks Francis and I will have interesting discussions about health and nutrition
Francis is such a gifted creative artist. His drawings are genuine and superb
When he doodles I get delightful "master pieces"

One lunch time we talked about what it would be like to have an infectious disease with no cure 無藥醫
Cantonese speakers feel a certain dread with this phrase 無藥醫
I challenged Francis to draw something powerful that will one day terrorise humans
Next day he gave me this drawing*. Francis never disappoints

*Disclaimer - Please do not use this to scare kids
It is a vampire bat with fangs and cyclops' features. Hmmm… a lawless mutant superbug virus!
Francis has since moved to Hong Kong. He is now a vegetarian
I shall get a chef friend to dish up a vegetarian wanton noodles for him when we next meet

December 2019 - The virus has landed!
Did the mutant cross path with us in 1994 ?
Strange encounter and difficult to explain
Uncanny!
Déjà vu (French word for already seen, something feels familiar)
Science may not have an answer
My take ? I shall be level headed and philosophical even
Whatever the phenomenon I'm grateful for this piece of art
Priceless !
The new normal
We must remember not to let our guard down
The virus is lurking out there waiting… and it may be deadly
After two months of isolation, the brain gets a little numb about danger
We have to reset our brains to alarm mode
Covid 19 is a wake up call
Wild life should stay in the wild and not on the dinner table
The less contact we have with wild life the lower the risk of a spill over to humans
Dame Jane Goodall, well respected legendary anthropologist says we‘ve done this to ourselves, don’t blame the bats
Covid 19 will NOT be the last virus to wreak havoc
What steps can we take to protect ourselves ?
Louisaz says adopt my 4 pillars of health to strengthen the immune system as our first line of defence
